To set break times as organization default for portatour® users:
- Go to Administration > Overview > Organization Settings.
- Only applicable if several licenses are available: Open the organization settings for the desired license for which you want to make changes.
- Open the User Settings tab.
- In Work Break, uncheck Default.
- If portatour® has to include a daily work break in the schedule, in the section Work break, select Schedule automatically. If you do not want to schedule a work break, select No work break.
- At Time Frame, enter a time slot for the break, e.g. between 11:30 am and 1:30 pm.
- The Duration defines the actual duration of the break, e.g. 45 minutes.
The time frame gives portatour® some leeway when scheduling your optimized route, which is required especially when customers have very limited opening hours or the customer calls take longer. If the work break is nevertheless to be scheduled exactly, set the duration to the same length as the time frame, e.g. 12.00-12.40 with a duration of 40 minutes.
Note: the standard time frame for a work break entered here is independent of the currently set time zone in Dynamics 365.
