On the map you can see the route itinerary for the day selected in the tabs.
The markers show the customers that need to be called, with the colors indicating the due dates:
red = overdue | |
yellow = due now | |
green = not due |
|
blue = manual appointment or point of departure/arrival |
The icon displays the call time and whether the respective call is marked as reserved or as an appointment (see section Edit schedule).
A bubble opens when you click on a customer marker, displaying an information summary of the customer, and the respective line in the list will be temporarily highlighted in blue. Clicking again on the marker or the red X closes the bubble.
A click on the description opens the respective customer or appointment in a new browser window.
The blue line shows the path of the sales-route as beelines. To switch to displaying the actual routes on the road, click on the blue Options icon in the top right corner of the map and select Schedule with routes. The calculation of routes for the entire schedule occurs on the portatour® server and takes 2 to 10 seconds, depending on routes and server capacity.
The map view in Salesforce can be opened and closed by clicking on the triangular button next to the label saying Map, as well as resized by sliding the bar between the list on the left and the map on the right. The setting will be kept and used to show your next schedule.
You can move the map dragging the mouse while holding the left mouse button. A double-click on a location on the map zooms it in. Alternatively you can use the zoom slider on the top left of the map.
Options
On the top right of the map you can open the option menu by clicking on the blue symbol:
Schedule
In the first section you can select whether or how you want the schedule to be displayed on the map.
The map displays the schedule of the selected day, either in beelines or in routes which are visualized as a blue trace. The calculation of the route happens on the portatour® Server and takes around 2 to 10 seconds, depending on route distance and server capacity.
For customers who are scheduled on the currently selected day, the marker displays the call time instead of the call date.
Customers
In the second section you select whether or which customers you want to have displayed on the map.
With Only due customers you limit the display to those customers who are due or already overdue according to the call interval (e.g yellow and red markers).
Auto-adjust view
portatour® automatically adjusts the map view and zoom level by default, so that the desired customers or routes are in the display area. You will notice this when switching between days in the schedule. In some cases it can be helpful that portatour® does not automatically change the map view you set up. Untick Auto-adjust view to keep your configured view. In the footer of the map, you will subsequently have a button to zoom on the currently selected customer or route.
