In portatour®, appointments are represented as events in your Salesforce calendar. All appointments during your working hours are considered in your route planning – customer calls as well as other appointments such as telephone calls or errands – as long as they are activated for portatour®.
During activation of an appointment portatour® gathers information for scheduling:
- the address of the appointment is geo-coded on the map or - for instance for telephone calls – a location is waived explicitly,
- the call time and duration for scheduling and a time leeway for optimization.
Appointments have the highest priority in portatour®. If an appointment is activated for portatour®, it will be included in the schedule, no matter which settings you have set for customers in Next Call or Scheduling Settings or reservations (e.g. exclude from Schedule).
