Data conflicts occur by editing the same field of the same object in both portatour® for Salesforce® and portatour® Anywhere differently, and then synchronizing. By default, portatour® resolves conflicts by keeping the data entered in portatour® Anywhere.
For example:
- The appointment with the subject 'Workshop' on 05/17/2015 at 9:00 AM is edited in both Salesforce and on the mobile phone.
- It is moved to 11:00 AM in Salesforce and to 12:00 PM on the smartphone.
- After synchronization, the appointment is set to 12:00 PM because the portatour® Anywhere version wins.
Since the conflict resolution takes place at field level, changes in portatour® Anywhere and Salesforce for the same record in different fields (e.g. appointment subject and time) are merged without problems during synchronization.
Hint: The administrator of your Salesforce organization may have configured that Salesforce wins when synchronization conflicts occur.
