Follow the steps below:
- when an employee leaves the company and your field force is reduced as a result, or
- when an employee leaves the company and his customers should be divided between the other territories until a new field rep starts.
- Follow steps 1 - 5 in Perform territory optimization on a regular basis.
- Continue to Optimization settings.
- In the column Hand off customers, click the pen icon in the line of the relevant employee.
- Under Number of customers to be handed off select All.
- Click on Apply. The column Take over customers is also automatically set to None:
Therefore, during territory optimization, all customers of this user will be distributed to other users and no customers from other territories will be assigned to this user. - If necessary, make further adjustments for other users and then go on to Start optimization to trigger the calculation of the territory optimization (see Show optimization result).
- Follow steps 8 and 9 in Perform territory optimization on a regular basis.
- Delete the user (see Delete users).
Hint: If the concerned user is immediately replaced by a new employee, simply follow
Deactivate and activate users and then carry out a territory optimization in order to take into account the new home location (see
Perform territory optimization on a regular basis).
