In portatour® it is possible to save and load various territory optimizations or to share them with other users for viewing or further use.
This is useful e.g. in the following situations:
- You want to prepare territory optimizations for several workspaces (e.g. regions) at the same time.
- You would like to calculate several scenarios with different settings for a region and save them for later comparison or presentation.
- You would like to make an area optimization available to other supervisors for checking or further processing.
Save a territory optimization
To save a territory optimization, proceed as follows:
- In the footer of a territory optimization, click on the Save button.
- To save the optimization under a new name, click on Save optimization....
- Enter a meaningful name and optionally an additional note.
- If you want to share the territory optimization with supervisors, select the For supervisors option under Read-only sharing (see Share territory optimization with other users below).
- Click Save.
Load territory optimization
There are two options to load saved territory optimizations.
When starting the territory optimization
- After clicking on Territory optimization in the main menu, select Saved optimizations.
In the following lists, you will see all territory optimizations that you have either saved yourself or that have been shared by other users. - In the desired line, click on Load.
During a territory optimization
- If you are already in a territory optimization, click on Load in the footer.
A context menu opens. - Click on the desired saved territory optimization.
Please note that this menu only contains the saved optimizations that you have saved for the workspace in question. If you would like to see all available saved optimizations, click on Manage optimizations... and then click on Load in the desired line.
Manage territory optimizations
To delete saved territory optimizations or edit their settings, open the management of saved optimizations:
- Via Territory optimization in the main menu > Saved optimizations
- In the territory optimization
- Load in the footer > Manage optimizations...
- Save in the footer > Manage optimizations...
Delete territory optimization or edit settings
- Open the management of saved optimizations, e.g. via Save in the footer > Manage optimizations...
- Click on the pencil icon of the desired saved optimization to change its properties (name, note, read-only sharing).
- Click on the recycle bin icon to delete the saved optimization.
Copy territory optimization
If you want to copy a territory optimization to start an optimization for another workspace using the same settings, proceed as follows:
- Open the management of saved optimizations, e.g. via Save in the footer > Manage optimizations....
- In the desired line, click on the copy symbol on the right.
- Under Workspace, select the target workspace for which the copy is to be created.
- If necessary, change the name, note and read-only sharing.
- Click Copy.
If you want to create a copy in the same workspace - e.g. to calculate an alternative scenario - simply load the relevant optimization and save it under a new name.
Share territory optimization with other users
- Administrators have access to all saved optimizations - even without explicit approval.
- Supervisors only have access if you activate read-only sharing. Activate it when saving for the first time or subsequently via the management of saved optimizations (see Manage territory optimizations above).
- If read-only sharing is granted, those supervisors who have access to the workspace in question have access to the optimization.
- If you grant read permission for an optimization of the workspace organization, all supervisors can access it.
- The read-only sharing allows these supervisors to load the saved optimization, continue working with it and in turn save or release it as their own optimization. It is not possible for these supervisors to overwrite or delete your version.
- Administrators can delete other users' optimizations.
