As an administrator or supervisor, you will find the workspace bar at the top of portatour®. It shows the name of your company and the workspace you are currently in.
As an administrator, change the displayed company name under Options > Program settings (Direct link to portatour > Options).
Switching workspaces
- To quickly switch to the Workspace Organization, click on the company icon .
- To switch to your personal workspace, click on the user icon .
For other workspaces, proceed as follows:
- To switch workspaces, click on the white selection field in the workspace bar. A selection window opens:You will find a list of all the workspaces to which you have access.
- Click on a list entry or search in the search field at the top to switch to the corresponding workspace. To open the workspace in a new browser window, click on the arrow symbol on the right . This allows you to open several workspaces at the same time.
When switching the workspace, portatour® remains on the displayed page - while retaining the settings - if this page or setting is possible in the new workspace.
Types of workspaces
The selection of workspace determines from which user or users you can currently see and edit data.
Your personal workspace
You will only see your own customers, if indeed you have any customers in portatour®. Otherwise, your personal workspace is limited to your personal settings.
Another user's workspace
You are in the actual portatour® account of the selected user and only see the corresponding customers. You have access to all functions and can make changes directly. It is not a copy.
If you would like to see the portatour® access with the same permissions as the users themselves, click on the cogwheel icon in the workspace bar next to the user's name. Select the desired user level here.
A user group's workspace
You will see the customers of those users which belong to the selected user group. Here you have access to the following main menu items:
- Users: Here you will find the user list. Supervisors can request the portatour® Report for the entire user group here (see Request portatour® Report organization-wide or for user groups). Administrators can also create users here (see Create a new user).
- Customers: Here you will find the customer list with all customers of the relevant users. You also have access to the customer search and the customer map.
- Reports: Here you will find the reports of the users of the selected workspace. You can also export the reports here or request the portatour® Report for the user group.
- Territory optimization: This menu item is only displayed if you have access to it (see Perform territory optimization on a regular basis).
The entire company's workspace
You can see the customers of all users in your organization to whom you have access. In addition to the main menu items of the user group workspace, you will see:
- Users: Administrators have access to the entire user management here (see e.g. Show user list).

Options: You will find the organization-wide options here, whereby supervisors and administrators have different setting rights.
