If you are using portatour® for the first time, the schedule's first use wizard will help you with the most important settings. This way, the schedule adapts better to your way of working right from the start. Make more detailed settings at any time in your portatour® options or individually per customer on the customer detail page.

You will find the following settings in the first use wizard:
- At which interval do you visit your customers?
- Enter a default call interval here. It applies to all those customers for which no individual call interval has been stored.
- If necessary, change the default call interval under Options > Scheduling parameters, see Scheduling parameters of customers.
- Change the call interval individually per customer directly on the customer detail page of the respective customer or via import (see Edit scheduling parameters and Update customers).
- How long does a visit take?
- Enter a default call duration that also includes the search for a parking space, any waiting time etc. It applies to all those customers for which no individual call duration has been stored.
- If necessary, change the default call duration under Options > Scheduling parameters, see Scheduling parameters of customers.
- Change the call duration individually per customer directly on the customer detail page of the respective customer or via import (see Edit scheduling parameters and Update customers).
- Daily working hours and customer business hours?

Earliest departure and Latest return
- Enter your working hours, i.e. at what time you want to leave the home location at the earliest and return at the latest.
- Go to Options > Working hours to enter different working hours per weekday, see Working hours.

Customers open at and Customers open until
- Enter the default business hours of your customers here. These apply to all those customers for which no individual business hours have been stored.
- Go to Options > Business hours to enter different business hours per weekday or to take lunch breaks into account, see Business hours of customers.
- Change the business hours individually per customer directly on the customer detail page of the respective customer or via import (see Business hours and Update customers).

Schedule work break
- Keep Schedule work break to automatically schedule a daily lunch break of 30 minutes. To work without work break, select Don't schedule work break.
- To change the duration and the time window of the lunch break, go to Options > Work break, see Work break settings.

Earliest departure and Latest return
- Do you have overnight stays on the way?
- Keep No, always return home if you always drive day trips and return to your home location at the end of your working day. If your territory is very extensive, select Yes, if the drive home is too long to have overnight stays away from home automatically suggested.
- Go to Options > Overnight stay to specify the weekdays for a possible overnight stay away from home and the minimum distance, see Overnight stay.
If you no longer need the first use wizard, tick the option Don't show first use wizard again before clicking on Update schedule.
Note: The first use wizard is only displayed for individual licenses. If you use portatour® as part of a company account, the first use wizard is hidden as your administrator can set default values.
