portatour® is very easy to use. If you are not (yet) interested in all available functions, 4 buttons are enough to immediately benefit from automatic route planning. Just get to know more functions one by one.
The 4 buttons in 3 minutes:
The heart of portatour®
- Go to Schedule. There, update your schedule at any time by clicking Update schedule to react to unforeseen changes during the day.
portatour® will provide you with a new, optimized suggestion in seconds. - Click on the first suggested call.
You are on the customer detail page, where you can find all important information about the customer (see Customer details). - Optional: At the top, click Navigation to start the GPS system of your device (see Customer details).
- After each customer call, click Called now on the customer detail page - if you were able to talk to your contact person - or Missed - if your contact person was not present and you would like to return to the customer in the next few days.
- Go back to the schedule and repeat steps 2 through 4. If you're progressing significantly faster or slower than planned, click Update schedule anytime during the day to respond to the new circumstances.
Clicking on Called now or Missed is essential when using portatour®. portatour® is thus always up to date and continues planning from the last visited customer's address when updating the schedule.
Hints for further features
- If you also use appointments, do the same: After each appointment click on Took place now or Missed now (see also Appointment took place).
- If you would like to enter notes in form of a call report after each call or appointment, go to Options > Reporting and set the entries Call reports and When missed to Open automatically (see Reporting and Log customer calls and other activities). This allows you to have the call history available at any time.
- It is also possible to log other activities such as phone calls in portatour®, see Log customer calls and other activities.
